The day was marked by cloud cover, contributing to a slight chill in the air.
Impact of Fog
According to the meteorological department, fog will affect several areas of the state on Thursday, especially in the morning and evening, with a potential increase in temperature by one degree. Fog in the Terai regions may cause inconvenience to residents.
Fog Alert in These Districts
As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), dense fog is expected in Gorakhpur, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, and surrounding areas on January 30 and 31. Clear weather is anticipated in most parts of the state starting February 1.
Rain Expected from February 1
In western Uttar Pradesh, districts such as Saharanpur, Meerut, and Moradabad may experience light rain and scattered showers between February 1 and February 4. Rain is also possible in the western Himalayan regions until February 4, and there is a likelihood of rain in the plains of northwest India from January 31 to February 4.

The activation of a new western disturbance will bring changes to the weather in Uttar Pradesh. While dry conditions are expected on Friday, a complete shift in weather is anticipated starting February 1.

The meteorological department has forecast light rain in western Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, while many areas in eastern Uttar Pradesh may remain clear. Light rain with thunder and lightning may also occur in some parts of western Uttar Pradesh on February 2, 3, and 4.
